Traders Magazine Online News, April 2, 2019

John D'Antona Jr.

Look out Big Apple, the industry’s biggest and brightest are getting ready to meet up and examine all things trading and market structure.

The Security Traders Association of New York (STANY) will be holding its 83rd annual conference on April 4th from 7:30 am to 9 pm at the nation’s oldest exchange – the New York Stock Exchange.

The confab is the affiliate’s premier event which features thought provoking panels and speakers, opportunities to network and make meaningful business connections in the securities and financial services industry and a charity component. STANY offers a full day of content kicked off by its Women in Finance supported breakfast and culminating in a party on the floor of the historic exchange featuring music from Raw Sugar.

Similar to last year’s event, the day’s proceedings are closed to the media except for the evening reception.

STANY advances its philanthropic mission by focusing on women veterans - who are the fastest growing population of under-served U.S. veterans. STANY’s Women in Finance's goal is to give back to these women warriors in gratitude of their service to us and our country.

The Foundation for Women Warriors charity that STANY is supporting this year is a unique support organization created for the women veteran community. They provide essential programs to empower the resiliency and professional development of Women Warriors. Every step is dedicated to supporting these outstanding women to navigate obstacles and realize their maximum potential after their service career. The Foundation connects veterans to affordable housing options, employment, professional development, transition assistance, advanced education and legal assistance.
