      ON THE MOVE: IIA Names Jana Haines; Prometheum Gets Advisors

      The Index Industry Association (IIA) has appointed of a new Board Chair and welcomed its Board Members for 2026, according to a press release. MSCI’s Head of Index, Jana Haines, has assumed the role of Board Chair, succeeding FTSE Russell’s CEO Fiona Bassett, who will continue to serve on the Board. The IIA also welcomed S&P Dow Jones Indices’ CEO Catherine Clay, Amelia Furr, President of Indexes at Morningstar, and Axel Lomholt, CEO of STOXX as new Board Members. Returning Board Members include Varun Pawar, Chief Product Officer of ICE Fixed Income and Data Services, and Emily Spurling, Nasdaq’s Senior Vice President and Global Head of Index.

      Prometheum has appointed four new advisors to its advisory committee: Nobel Laureate Dr. Michael Spence, Dr. Jimmie Lenz, Donald H. Wilson, and Jeff Mehan, according to a press release. Spence, a Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences, is a global authority on economic development, market dynamics, and digital transformation. He is currently the Philip H. Knight Professor Emeritus of Management in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, a Senior Fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, and a Council on Foreign Relations Distinguished Visiting Fellow. Lenz is a financial technology researcher, professor, and former financial services executive with expertise in market microstructure, applied analytics, and financial innovation. He serves as the Director of Duke University’s Master of Engineering programs in Financial Technology and Cybersecurity. Wilson, currently serving as the Independent Chair of the Invesco ETF Trusts, brings decades of banking, fintech, and securities industry leadership. Mehan is a seasoned derivatives and market-structure expert with deep experience across equity, financial, and commodities derivatives brokerage. 

      Brian Pastor has been promoted to head of trading for global equities at Citadel, Global Trading reported. Citadel did not respond to requests for comment on the appointment. Justin Lubell has been head of the global equities business at Citadel since 2020. Last year, Ryan Royce joined the firm as a portfolio manager. Pastor has been an equity trader at Citadel since 2018. Prior to this, he was a managing director and partner at Latimer Light Capital and a trader and partner at PFM. His 25-year career also includes sales trading roles at UBS Investment Bank and Deutsche Bank.

      Kevin Rozanski

      Confluence Technologies has appointed Kevin Rozanski as Chief Financial Officer, according to a press releaase. He brings extensive experience in financial leadership across enterprise software and private equity-backed firms. Rozanski most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at Prometheus Group. Prior to that, Rozanski served as CFO of Silverline, a Pamlico Capital–backed consulting firm serving the Salesforce ecosystem.

      ING has named David Leech as Global Head of FX Trading. Leech succeeds Gary Prince and will oversee all ING’s FX trading activities worldwide, according to a press release. With two decades of markets experience, he brings deep expertise and a proven track record in driving revenue growth. He joined ING in 2016 as a Senior FX Forwards Trader and was promoted to Head of FX UK in 2023.

      The Securities and Exchange Commission has announced that Paul H. Tzur and David M. Morrell have been named as Deputy Directors of the Division of Enforcement. According to a press statement, Tzur joins the Commission from private practice, where he focused on white collar defense and complex commercial litigation. Before that he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois, where he was a prosecutor in the Securities and Commodities Fraud Section. Morrell joins the Commission after his return to private practice, where he focused on civil litigation and government disputes. Before that he served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Civil Division, where he led the Federal Programs Branch.

      Jason Keogh has joined Sage Capital Management as a Sales Director, with responsibility for driving global growth from hedge funds, asset managers, trading firms, and brokerages. According to a press release, with over 30 years’ experience in the financial markets, he is a seasoned sales, trading, and business development professional with deep expertise across TradFi, fintech and digital assets. He joins Sage Capital Management from Fusion Capital, where he was International Sales Director for the last two years, managing a global sales team.
