
DWS Group has promoted Jamie Hartley to global head of capital markets, marking a step up after several senior roles within the firm, according to LinkedIn. Hartley, who has been with DWS for over seven years, most recently served as regional head of capital markets for Europe and Asia, and previously led the firm’s European capital markets division. Before joining DWS, Hartley spent more than nine years at Deutsche Bank, where he held positions in ETF trading, global equity derivatives, and convertible bonds sales and trading in London.

S&P Global has announced the appointment of Firdaus Bhathena as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Technology and Transformation Officer (CTTO), effective April 27, 2026. He will report directly to Martina Cheung, President and Chief Executive Officer of S&P Global and join the company’s executive leadership team. He will be based out of S&P Global’s headquarters in New York. Bhathena joins S&P Global from FIS Global, where he served as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Technology Officer. At FIS, he was responsible for transforming the company’s technology infrastructure, software product development, and data and AI innovation.
Stifel Financial veteran Claire Lynch has jumped ship to Rosenblatt Securities, joining the firm as managing director and head of New York institutional sales, according to Global Trading. The company stated that Lynch’s hire is part of a drive to expand its equity research platform. Lynch has spent the majority of her near-25 year career at Stifel Financial, and was most recently managing director of institutional equity sales.
Satoshi Tsuji has been named global head of trading at Nomura Asset Management, Global Trading reported. Tsuji succeeds Mai Tanaka, who has held the role since 2023. Tanaka is now part of the global business strategy department.
Monte Tarbox has been appointed as Chief Investment Officer for the Office of the New York City Comptroller’s Bureau of Asset Management (BAM). Tarbox has served as interim chief investment officer since the beginning of the year, according to a press release. Prior to his current role, he was president of the AFL-CIO Investment Trust Corporation until January 2024. He also served as the Executive Director, Investments, for the National Electrical Benefit Fund (NEBF) for ten years, as CIO of the Machinists National Pension Fund in Washington and held senior roles with global institutional investor IFM Investors and investment consulting firms in Chicago, Washington, and Melbourne, Australia.
