Angela Stulley joins Portware as head of partner sales and marketing. Stulley, a 15-year veteran, comes from Wolverine Trading where she spent the last two years running sales and marketing. She previously worked at NYSE Arca (formerly Archipelago). At Portware, she will take the lead on fostering broker relationships. She reports to the company’s chief executive officer, Alfred Eskandar.


Peter Kaufman joins Maxim Group as a senior vice president of institutional sales trading in the firm’s Boca Raton, Fla. office. Kaufman, a veteran of more than 18 years, spent the last five years at Noble Financial Capital Markets. Before that, he was a trader at Geduld Capital Management, a long/short hedge fund. Maxim recently announced it was expanding its research, sales and trading and wealth management groups.


Richard Brown joins MKM Partners’ sales trading team as a managing director and member of the firm’s operating committee. Brown was a co-founder and head equity sales trader at American Technology Research (later Gleacher & Co.) and a partner at SoundView Technology Group. Prior to that, he was a listed sales trader at Merrill Lynch.


Renaissance Capital hired three veterans for its equities trading group. The firm named Charles Croney as managing director and head of international equity trading and Victor Radeff as director and international equity trader in New York. John Heisel joins as a vice president and equity sales trader in Moscow.


Ramius Capital Group, Cowen Group’s global alternative investment management business, hires Ken Griebell as a director. Griebell, a veteran of more than 20 years, looks to grow Ramius’ marketing and distribution activities for liquid alternative products to new and existing customers and high-net-worth investors. Previously, he worked at Equinox Fund Management, where he was managing director of strategic accounts. He reports to David Thill, the firm’s managing director and head of worldwide third-party distribution and intermediary relationships.
