TRADERS ON THE MOVE: ITG Gets New CEO, Triad Hires Sales Pro, DB Shuffes Equity Pros

ITG Named Jarrett Lilien as its new chief executive officer, replacing Bob Gasser. The change comes amid a recent ITG announcement that it was facing a $20.3 million dollar fine after disclosing improprieties at its dark pool. Lilien is a member of the ITG board and the former president and chief operating officer of E*TRADE Financial.
Also, but not related, the firm announced that Associate General Counsel Angelique DeSanto has been named General Counsel.

Triad Securities hired Brandi Gatlin as director of Institutional Sales. Gatlin, with more than 15 years’ experience in equity research sales and trading will focus on new business generation in Prime Brokerage, Triad’s New Issue Service, and expanding Triad’s presence with Institutional clients, hedge funds, and family offices. Gatlin has worked at A.G. Edwards, Merriman Capital and most recently was a research sales person at MLV & Co.

Deutsche Bank shuffled three top players in the equities space to bolster up its trading desk. Jonny Potter, previously the co-head of equity sales along with Derek Capanna, was named global head of the business, following Capanna’s departure last month for UBS. Deutsche also named John O’Brien and Craig Bench to lead the equities business in the U.S. The co-heads will report to Potter and Tom Patrick, head of equities Americas.

Deutsche Borse has lured fixed income veteran and former UBS exec Rob Jolliffe for the newly created position of global head of sales. Jolliffe joins immediately and reports directly to chief executive Carsten Kengeter.

Paul Walker-Duncalf, formerly BlackRock’s global head of equity trading, left the firm July 28, according to the Financial Services Register. A spokesman for BlackRock said head of U.S. equity trading Paul Whitehead will be taking on the global role.
