TRADERS ON THE MOVE: In and Out at Lime Brokerage

Veteran electronic trading executive Tony Huck joined Lime Brokerage in New York in a business development and sales and marketing capacity. That encompasses client services, sales, connectivity, configuration, and the trading desk, according to Huck. Before joining Lime, a division of Wedbush Securities, Huck was at Citadel Securities, as a managing director and head of institutional sales. Before that he was at RBS Securities. Huck spent 15 years at ITG, including a stint with ITG Derivatives.

Kevin Halupka joined Lodestar Securities as a managing director and head of business and product development. Lodestar was founded just last year and is expanding from municipal bonds into corporate bonds and equities. It is headed by Jim Lafaman, a one-time head of prime brokerage at Credit Suisse for the Americas. Halupka was previously a director of sales at Lime Brokerage for three-and-a-half years. Before that he worked at ITG.

Ruth Colagiuri joined CLSA Americas as director of electronic trading. Previously, she held a similar position for about a year-and-a-half at Credit Agricole, which owns CLSA. Before that she spent a year at UNX as head of product management, specifically the broker’s Catalyst execution management system. Before that she spent nine years at Merrill Lynch as part of the electronic trading team that built out Merrill’s pilot offering of algorithms, smart routing, crossing and DMA for equities, options and futures.  

At least two former executives from Livevol, an options trading software developer and brokerage, have landed jobs. Dax Rodriguez, formerly president of Livevol’s broker-dealer unit, joined proprietary trading house Cutler Group in Chicago. Loren Reinhardt joined OptionsCity Software, a supplier of options trading software, and also took a position with broker-dealer Tradingblock. Based in Chicago, Reinhardt’s role is business development at OptionsCity. Previously, Reinhardt was director of institutional sales at Livevol Securities. The firms cut several staff members in February.

Spencer Miller joined the SC Distributors division of Strategic Capital in a sales role. The Newport Beach, Calif., outfit is an independent distributor of alternative investment products. Miller was a former trader and operations manager at Ascendiant Capital Markets in Irvine, Calif.
