TECHNOLOGY: Thomson Reuters Ups OTC Data Coverage with BGC Pricing

Thomson Reuters wants to give traders the most data that they can get for OTC Securities and has joined with BGC Partners to give it to them.

The two companies forged a strategic agreement to expand customer access to OTC pricing data. BGC’s OTC pricing data is now available to customers of Thomson Reuters Eikon, its financial markets desktop, Thomson Reuters Elektron Real Time, Tick History and DataScope Select, as well as BGC’s trading system. The agreement also incorporates a consolidated licensing solution aligned to individual clients’ business models.

Why partner with another broker for more data?

As regulation in the OTC markets continues to evolve, traders are increasingly looking for more accurate and timely OTC pricing data, especially in some of the less liquid names. Now with this service, the buyside can see more of the market. Gaining access to real-time OTC pricing data alongside news and analytics tools provides traders with the information they need to better inform their trading strategies.

Eikon Enhanced for Buyside Traders
