Keeping Score at the Minnesota SDA Buyside vs. Sellside Hockey Classic

It was traders against brokers at the annual hockey tournament at the Minnesota Security Dealers Association.

It’s no secret that the relationship between the buyside and sellside has changed over the years. But the organizers at the Minnesota Security Dealers Association put that natural rivalry to good use with a disctinctly home-grown flavor: A buyside vs. sellside hockey match.

Earlier this month, traders and brokers from such local investment firms as RBC, Northland, Wedbush Securities, Arbor, Piper Jaffrey and others gathered on the ice at a local hockey arena for set of best three out of five games. Dan Hendrickson of Northland Capital Markets is the former MSDA President who puts this game together each year.
