SIFMA to Host Basel III Endgame Roundtable: July 12 (Virtual)
Washington, DC, June 27, 2023 – SIFMA will host a virtual roundtable on July 12 at 10 AM regarding the impacts of the Basel III Endgame implementation in the U.S.
U.S. bank regulators announced last fall their plan to implement enhanced regulatory capital requirements that will align with the final set of Basel III standards issued by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision in December 2017. This Basel III Endgame proposal will bring substantial changes to the U.S. capital requirements.
Discussion topics include:
- The post-crisis prudential reforms and what the optimal level of capital in the banking system should be
- The Basel III Endgame proposal
- Potential impacts on the end-users, the capital markets, and U.S. economy
