ON THE MOVE: MEMX Hires Sohn; ICAP Adds Missimer, Spencer

Exchange operator Cboe Global Markets announced that its Board of Directors elected Jennifer McPeek, former Chief Financial Officer of Russell Investments and Janus Capital Group, as a new member to its Board of Directors. McPeek was elected to fill a vacancy on the board, bringing the number of directors on the board to 13. McPeek is an independent advisor to companies on value-based management and incentive design. 

Members Exchange hired Sophie Sohn as Head of Marketing and Communications. In a statement, MEMX CEO Jonathan Kellner noted that Sohn also is part of the firm’s management team. Sohn brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, including nearly 10 years in charge of marketing and communications at Getco and KCG. Along with strong media relationships and leadership skills, she brings creativity, social media, and public affairs expertise as well as a unique ability to navigate and communicate market complexities, Kellner said.

Dalzell Trading, an outsourced U.S. equity and options trading firm, added Lance Meyerowich as Chief Revenue Officer. Meyerowich has spent over 20 years on Wall Street, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Delta One Sales at Wells Fargo. His experience includes 17 years at Goldman Sachs in roles such as Head of Equity Sales on the Cross-Asset Desk and Co-Head of Execution Services for the Synthetic Products Group. 

TP ICAP, a provider of market infrastructure, announced the appointment of two senior roles in its Data & Analytics division. Jeff Missimer joins TP ICAP from Bloomberg Polarlake as Head of Sales Americas, while Rhys Spencer has been promoted to Head of Sales Asia.  The newly-created roles complete the division’s global sales leadership team, joining Lisa Ward, Head of Sales EMEA, and Jonathan Cooper, Global Head of Sales. In a statement, the company said the team’s immediate focus is to assist clients with their risk management and total cost of ownership using Data & Analytics’ new suite of solutions including its Bond Evaluated Price service and SURFIX market data API.

LedgerEdge, a new ecosystem for the exchange of data and assets in the corporate bond market, hired Tim Cook as Head of Business Development. He will lead a series of market-wide working groups in the coming months to validate and refine the technology and business approach. Cook was formerly Head of EMEA and APAC Sales at LiquidityEdge, which was also founded by LedgerEdge founder and R3 CEO David E. Rutter. LiquidityEdge was sold to MarketAxess in 2019. Cook also has fixed income experience from roles at EBS BrokerTec and Thomson Reuters.
