ON THE MOVE: Hooley Joins MarketAxess; Corrao and Meehan to Elinphant

Tim Hooley, a former Goldman Sachs managing director, joined trading-platform operator MarketAxess as London-based head of technology for EMEA and APAC, eFinancialCareers reported, citing his LinkedIn profile. At Goldman, Hooley was in research and sales services technology for 22 years until 2018, when he left for Red Hat, where he was Chief Technologist, EMEA FSI. 

Elinphant, a woman-owned compliance consulting firm, added industry experts Michael Corrao of OTC Link and Bill Meehan of KPMG to meet clients’ growing need for specialized assistance to meet post-Covid compliance challenges. Corrao has more than 30 years of compliance experience. Prior to OTC Link he served as CCO at Knight Capital Markets and CCO at Schwab Capital Markets. He will focus on trading/market-making client businesses and helping broker-dealer clients with oversight controls. Meehan, with more than two decades of experience, was Managing Director in KPMG’s Operational and Regulatory Risk Advisory Practice.

Delta Capita, a global provider of managed services, fintech solutions and consulting, appointed Sarah Carver as Head of Digital. Sarah brings over 12 years of financial services experience to the role. She joins from Capco Digital, where she was instrumental in establishing and scaling the business, as well as redesigning the culture of the business. Prior to Capco, Sarah worked at Accenture when she was initially positioned in the UK working at the London Stock Exchange. 

SimCorp appointed Jakob Højland to the newly created role of Commercial Director for cloud services. Højland will oversee the commercial aspect of SimCorp’s cloud transformation. Højland spent several years at Microsoft, as Global Account Executive in Financial Services and Fintech, where he led a team of 20 covering the entire Microsoft portfolio of products, cloud services and professional services. He has extensive technical and market knowledge of enterprise cloud infrastructure. 

BTON Financial appointed fixed income and electronic trading expert Andrew
Bernard as Non-Executive Director. Andrew joins BTON’s advisory board from
Tradeweb, where he held a variety of senior positions over the past 17 years,
including MD, Head of of Asia and as an MD in the London office. Prior to Tradeweb he served as Head of European Government Bond Sales and as Principal of the
Global Leveraged Group for Bank of America, and Director of UK sales at Société
Générale. BTON Financial also promoted Caroline Holmes, a regulatory expert
and change management specialist, to Chief Operating Officer. She had served as
Head of Business Development since April 2020. 

Qontigo appointed Rodolphe Bocquet Global Head of ESG.  In this newly created position, Bocquet will lead Qontigo’s expansion of indexing and analytics in the ESG space. A pioneer and innovator in ESG investing, Bocquet most recently served as an independent sustainability consultant working with a range of clients, including the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. In 2014, he co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Beyond Ratings, a startup created to better integrate long-term sustainability drivers and their impact on investments. Beyond Ratings was acquired by the London Stock Exchange Group in May 2019.
