ON THE MOVE: Blackstone Hires Devin Glenn; DTCC Promotes Jennifer Peve

Devin Glenn has joined Blackstone as Global Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Glenn will be a Managing Director responsible for continuing to implement policies and initiatives that will help Blackstone achieve a more diverse and inclusive workplace at Blackstone and its portfolio companies. Glenn joins from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom where she was the Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Prior to that, she spent the last decade in various positions related to diversity and inclusion at the law firm, as well as working as an associate in its banking and institutional investing division.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has promoted Jennifer Peve as Head of Strategy and Business Development, effective July 2, 2021. In this new role, Peve will have overarching responsibility for the firm’s global corporate strategy, digital product development and strategic partnerships and alliances, reporting to DTCC President & CEO Michael Bodson. Peve will also join the DTCC Management Committee. Peve joined DTCC in 2015 as Executive Director, Business Development and Fintech Strategy Office. She was promoted to Managing Director in 2018 and assumed expanded responsibilities for Global Partners and Innovation.

CalPERS has named Marlene Timberlake D’Adamo as its first Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer (CDEIO). D’Adamo has been serving dual roles as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Interim Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer since June of 2020. A recruitment to replace her as CCO will begin immediately.

Cowen has expanded its global capital introduction team with two new senior appointments. Amy Cheung, based in Hong Kong and the first team member in the APAC region, joins Cowen as Vice President after three years working in investor relations and business development at hedge fund Bright Stream Capital Management. Daniel McGlinn joins Cowen’s San Francisco office as Vice President, after six years at PNC Asset Management, where he was a member of the alternative strategies team responsible for external manager selection. Cowen’s global capital introduction team now comprises eight capital introduction professionals, with additional hires planned over the next couple of years.

Guy Chiarello, currently Chief Administrative Officer of Fiserv, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, effective June 24, 2021. In his new role, Chiarello will continue to elevate the client experience, create a high-performance workplace and support the company’s focus on future growth. Suzan Kereere will join Fiserv on July 6, 2021 as Chief Growth Officer. In this newly created position, Kereere will work in partnership with Fiserv business leaders to lead enterprise strategy, acquisitions, and business development initiatives. Most recently, Kereere served as Global Head of Merchant Sales & Acquiring at Visa. In addition, Adam Rosman will rejoin Fiserv as the company’s Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Legal Officer, effective July 26, 2021. He joins Fiserv from OneMain Financial, where he oversaw legal, compliance, government relations and audit groups.

Societe Generale has appointed Sylvain Cartier and Alexandre Fleury as Co-Heads of Global Markets activities as of June 22, 2021. They also become members of the Group’s Management Committee. They replace Jean-François Grégoire who will pursue new projects outside the Group. Cartier and Fleury were respectively Head of Credit, Fixed Income & Currencies and Head of Equities & Equity Derivatives, positions which they will retain in their new roles. They report to Slawomir Krupa, Head of Global Banking and Investor Solutions.

Stuart Wexler has joined Capitolis as its General Counsel. In this role, Wexler will oversee legal matters, corporate governance, and regulatory affairs, and advise senior leadership and the board of directors. Wexler joins Capitolis with more than 25 years of legal and regulatory experience across financial services, previously serving as Group General Counsel for NEX Group (formerly ICAP), where he was responsible for the management of legal, compliance, risk, and government affairs functions globally.

AXA Investment Managers has appointed Marion Le Morhedec as Global Head of Fixed Income and Christophe Herpet as Deputy Head of Fixed Income and Global Head of Fixed Income for AXA. Based in Paris, Le Morhedec leads AXA IM’s global Fixed Income business and reports to Hans Stoter, Global Head of AXA IM Core. Herpet is also based in Paris and reports to Marion Le Morhedec. They will both retain their current portfolio management responsibilities.
