Optiver has strengthened its US ETF business with the appointments of Brett Sussman as Head of US Institutional ETF Sales Trading, Caitlin Krantz as US ETF Sales Trader, and Michael Crinieri as Senior Adviser, according to a LinkedIn post.

The firm said the three hires will help connect counterparties with Optiver’s global liquidity, market expertise and execution capabilities across the ETF ecosystem.
Sussman joins Optiver after nearly nine years at Flow Traders, where he most recently led Institutional Sales & Trading for the Americas. His prior experience includes roles in rates, leveraged credit and equity derivatives sales and trading at Citi.
Crinieri joins Optiver after more than 26 years at Goldman Sachs, where he has served as a Managing Director since 2000.
Krantz joins the firm from Old Mission, where she spent nearly three years trading ETFs and ADRs. Before moving into ETF markets, she worked as a data scientist at Atlassian and gained experience through roles in investment banking, finance and analytics at JPMorgan, Hulu, Publicis Media and Fiserv.
The appointments come as ETF trading volumes continue to grow supported by sustained institutional adoption and rising demand for low-cost, liquid, and transparent market access.
According to ETFGI, global ETF assets reached a record $21.91 trillion as of April 2026.
According to the same data, the industry has now recorded more than 80 consecutive months of net inflows, underscoring persistent investor allocation through multiple market cycles, while year-to-date inflows of approximately $856 billion in 2026 (as of April) highlight continued strong demand following record annual inflows in prior years.
As one of the world’s largest electronic market makers, Optiver has continued expanding its institutional ETF capabilities alongside its core equities, options and derivatives businesses.
The hires also follow other recent additions at the firm, including former Citadel Securities trader Lawrence Tanzman, who joined as a quantitative trader earlier this year.
