ON THE MOVE: Coinbase AM Appoints Jasmine Burgess; Adam Hess to Citi

Jasmine Burgess

Coinbase Asset Management has appointed Jasmine Burgess as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer. Burgess is an experienced Risk Executive with a focus on Business Development/Tech-architecture. She was previously COO/CRO of One River Digital, which was acquired by Coinbase earlier this month. Prior to that, Burgess was Head of US at Coremont.

Adam Hess

Citi has appointed Adam Hess as Director, Global Storage and Engineered Systems. He is a senior-level operations, engineering, and systems performance management professional with 25+ years of expertise in information technology, project management, strategic planning & execution, process improvement, financial planning, data analysis, training & development, and relationship building. Hess was previously Director, Global Head of Storage at Citi.

James Andrus

Franklin Templeton has appointed James Andrus as Vice President of Sustainability Global Markets, a newly created leadership role within the firm’s Global Sustainability Strategy Team. Andrus joins Franklin Templeton from the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS). Based in California, Andrus brings deep industry and regulatory knowledge from his diverse background. Most recently, in serving as Interim Managing Investment Director for Sustainable Investing at CalPERS, he advocated for transparency in the financial markets at the national and international levels.

Siepe, a trusted provider of technology, data and analytics, has appointed Paul Livanos as Vice President of Sales. Based in New York, Livanos has over 15 years’ experience across the structured finance and credit markets landscape. Prior to joining Siepe, he was Managing Director, Head of North America Sales at Virtus from FIS, where he spearheaded the firm’s sales and business development efforts for its integrated front, middle and back office solutions for investment managers in the credit space.

Brian Schaeffer was named president of Velocity Clearing, a self-clearing broker-dealer serving retail brokers, online trading platforms, active retail traders, emerging hedge funds and high-frequency trading groups. Schaeffer brings more than 20 years of capital markets experience to Velocity, most recently as founder and president of Clearpool Group, an algorithmic trading platform where he ran all aspects of the company’s revenue growth and business development.

CSI, a provider of end-to-end fintech and regtech solutions, has hired Linda Fischer as the company’s chief operating officer (COO). Fischer joins CSI with more than 35 years of enterprise technology experience. She has held numerous executive and operational leadership roles, most recently as senior vice president and general manager of NCR’s hospitality division. Prior to NCR, Fischer was vice president of sales, marketing and client services for CoreLogic’s insurance vertical.
