Nasdaq and NYSE File Oral Argument Renewal Request Letter to SEC on Data Fees

Exchange operator Nasdaq wants its voice heard. And so does the New York Stock Exchange.

Today, Traders Magazine has learned that Nasdaq and the NYSE (Arca) are filing a letter with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to renew their request for an oral argument to comment on a recent Wall Street Journal article titled Brokers Score Win on Cost of Data Feed.

In the letter to the SEC viewed by Traders Magazine, both exchanges say that an upcoming ruling on data fees charged by the operators would be inconsistent with the Commissions Rules of Practice in issuing a ruling on the matter without first hearing the exchanges motion for oral argument.

The comment letter will be available on the SECs website
