FX: RBS Hires UBS Alum to Head Sales in Americas

Royal Bank of Scotland said it hired Ed Hulina to be its head of foreign exchange and emerging markets FX sales in the Americas.

The appointment comes little more than a year after Hulina left UBS, where he had been co-head of fixed-income, currencies and commodities distribution for the Americas at UBS. In that role, he was responsible for sales of UBS’ foreign exchange trading services, as well as credit and rate services, securitized products and structured products.

Hulina will head a sales effort at RBS aimed at corporate treasurers, asset managers, hedge funds, banks and brokers.

He will report regionally to Stephen Kemp, head of FX Americas, and Rich Tang, head of North America Sales, and globally to Mark Webster, head of FX Sales for Europe, Africa and the Middle East and Global Head of Financial Institutions FX Sales.

Hulina will be based in Connecticut. RBS Americas’ headquarters are at 600 Washington Boulevard, Stamford. UBS Americas is at 677 Washington Boulevard.

Separately, former Barclays vice president of eFX sales Anuj Mehra also is joining RBS in Stamford. He will be vice president of FX Bank Sales. , formerly joins RBS as VP of FX Bank Sales in Stamford, Connecticut. He will report to Matt Thomas, Head of FX eCommerce and Bank Sales North America.

Thomas reports to Hulina.
