Coatue Management, an American technology-focused investment management firm, has hired Colin Cortes as head of trading and risk, according to LinkedIn.
The asset management firm declined to comment.
Cortes joins the firm with more than a decade of experience across hedge funds and sell-side trading.
Most recently, he spent more than eight years at Junto Capital Management as a trader, where he focused on portfolio execution and trading operations.
Prior to that, he worked at Goldman Sachs in equity derivatives sales and equity sales trading.
He began his career at Goldman Sachs as a summer analyst in the firm’s securities division before moving into full-time trading and sales roles.
Headquartered in New York City with global offices, Coatue manages tens of billions of dollars across public and private technology investments and has increasingly focused on AI, infrastructure and growth investing opportunities.
