Sagar Sanghvi has started a new position as Head of Credit Derivatives Electronic Trading at Bloomberg, according to his post on LinkedIn. He joins from Unifi Asset Management, where he spent over a year as a senior trader. Before that, he spent more than a decade at BlackRock, holding a range of roles—including most recently as director of U.S. credit trading. His tenure there also included vice president positions in U.S. credit trading and financial markets advisory, along with experience in foreign exchange trading. Earlier in his career, he worked in private wealth management at Goldman Sachs.
Brian Foley is joining Kepler Cheuvreux Execution Services’s (KCx) execution sales team in New York, effective September, Global Trading reported. With more than 20 years of experience Foley joins KCx from alternative trading system Provable Markets, where he has been managing director of sales since 2022. Prior to this, he was head of sales and an electronic sales trader at Proof Trading and part of the business development team at IEX. The appointment forms part of Kepler Chevreux’s execution expansion in the Americas. Earlier this year, the firm announced the build-out of its UK high-touch trading team.
Kimberly DeTrask will join Apex Group as Chief Financial Officer effective October 1 from State Street, where she spent over 12 years in senior finance leadership, most recently as Treasurer and EVP. With a 14-year tenure at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and prior CFO experience at State Street International, she brings deep global financial expertise to Apex’s Executive Committee. In addition, according to a press statement, Maxwell Johnston, an 8-year Apex veteran with roles spanning M&A strategy, Chief of Staff, and interim-CFO, has been appointed Chief Business Officer effective immediately, focusing on commercial alignment, regional delivery, and client experience enhancement.
Mysten Labs has hired Mustafa Al Niama as the Head of Global Capital Markets, according to a press release. Prior to joining Mysten Labs, he served as the Americas Head of Digital Assets for Goldman Sachs, leading a team dedicated to delivering key tokenization and digital assets products and advocating for regulatory changes in the US market.
Citigroup has brought on Amit Nayyar to serve as co-head of its European technology investment banking team, according to Reuters. He joins from JPMorgan, where he was responsible for leading fintech banking coverage across the EMEA region and will now share leadership responsibilities at Citigroup alongside Yishai Fransis.
iCapital has appointed Sonali Basak as Chief Investment Strategist, according to a press release. Basak most recently served as Bloomberg Television’s lead global finance correspondent and anchor, where she covered the financial institutions shaping markets worldwide – from global banks and asset managers to private equity giants and hedge funds.
