ON THE MOVE: Morgan Stanley Promotes Erin Vertin; Ciaran Carr to Insight Investment

Erin Vertin

Morgan Stanley has appointed Erin Vertin as Head of Fraud Preventative & Detective Controls. Vertin is focused on delivering best-in-class client centered efficient and risk focused fraud operations. She has been with Morgan Stanley since 2020, previously as Executive Director Global Fraud Alerting. Prior to that Vertin worked at Truist for over 10 years.

Ciaran Carr

Insight Investment, $830bn global investment manager, has appointed Ciaran Carr as the inaugural Head of Client Solutions Group North America. He will oversee the Client Relationship Management, Client Service and Solution Design teams and will report to CEO of North America, David Leduc. At Insight North America, Carr will lead the newly created Client Solutions Group NA and joins from Legal & General Investment Management America, where he was most recently Head of Solutions Strategy.

Kevin M. Kessinger

DTCC Board member Kevin M. Kessinger has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman of the The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board Executive Committee, effective January 1, 2024. Kessinger assumes the Non-Executive Chairman position from Robert Druskin, who is retiring from the DTCC Board at the end of 2023 after serving 12 years. Kessinger has been a member of DTCC’s Board since 2021 and chair of the Businesses, Technology & Operations Committee since 2022.

Hazeltree, a leading provider of treasury and liquidity management solutions for the alternative asset management industry, has appointed Jeremy Payne as the company’s Chief Product Officer. Payne brings more than 20 years of product management leadership in institutional finance software. He most recently was Chief Product Officer at Canalyst, a provider of data and analytics for institutional investors acquired by Tegus in 2022.  

Tradeweb Markets has announced that Chairman Lee Olesky will retire from its Board of Directors at the end of the second quarter of 2023. Jacques Aigrain will succeed Olesky as Chairman, effective as of July 1, 2023. Olesky co-founded Tradeweb in 1996, and for more than three decades he has been a central figure in the evolution of fixed income electronic trading. He retired as CEO of Tradeweb in December of 2022 after more than 20 years of leadership at the company.
