      ON THE MOVE: FIA Onboards Darin Guries; Sandro Oswald to Susquehanna

      Darin Guries

      Darin Guries will join FIA as Vice President of US Government Relations, starting September 2, according to a press release. Guries started his career working for former US Senators Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts. He then moved to the Senate Committee on Agriculture, where he served as a senior professional staff member focused on cryptocurrencies, derivatives, the CFTC and other issues. Following 15 years in the Senate, Guries joined JPMorganChase as vice president of federal government relations. 

      Sandro Oswald has shared on LinkedIn that he joined Susquehanna International Group as Quantitative Trader – Central Risk Book. He joins from Morgan Stanley, where he worked for over nine years, most recently as Co-Head Centralised Risk Book & Systematic Market Making EMEA.

      Elijah Ibrahim Diallo

      Elijah Ibrahim Diallo has joined Vegah Trading as a Proprietary Trader, according to his LinkedIn profile. He joins from Magellan Capital, where he most recently served as trader for multi-strategy operations. Earlier in his career, Diallo held roles at ADQ, Azimut Investments, and Avalon Capital Markets. 

      Munish Gautam has joined Broadridge Financial Solutions, as Global Head of Trading Platforms – Product Management within Broadridge Trading & Connectivity Solutions (BTCS) business based in London, according to a press release. With over 15 years at J.P. Morgan, Gautam most recently served as Executive Director and Cash Equities Product Lead for global equities trading platforms, where he led major transformation initiatives encompassing client onboarding, execution, regulatory, market structure, risk management and front-to-back platform integration. 

      LMAX Group has strengthened its US leadership team with the appointment of Ilya Khazen, according to a press statement. Based in New York in a newly established role, he will lead cross-asset sales for LMAX Group. Khazen will report to Chris Knight, Managing Director, LMAX Digital. Khazen joins LMAX Group from custodian and prime services business, Copper Technologies, where he was Director and Co-Head of Sales. Prior to that he held management positions at Goldman Sachs and Société Générale. 

      BridgePort has appointed Steven Bartfield as Chief Product Officer. Bartfield brings nearly 15 years of experience across institutional trading, market structure, and financial technology. Most recently, he co-founded and led an AI-driven data platform, overseeing product development, go-to-market strategy, and key customer partnerships. Prior to that, he led Credit Market Structure Strategy at Goldman Sachs and held senior product leadership roles at CME Group, launching new trading solutions across regulated OTC markets in fixed income and FX.

      The Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI) has appointed Ji Hun Kim as Chief Executive Officer, according to a press release. Kim served as CCI’s President and Acting CEO since January 2025, following his tenure as the organization’s Chief Legal and Policy Officer. Prior to joining CCI, he was a senior executive at Gemini, a global digital asset exchange and custodian, and held legal roles at Kraken, another global digital asset exchange, Willkie Farr & Gallagher, and as a federal judicial law clerk in the Southern District of New York (Bankruptcy).

      Barclays has appointed Alex Ham as Global Chairman of Investment Banking, based in London, according to a press release. Ham is a proven leader who brings 20 years of experience and leadership to Barclays. He joins from Deutsche Bank where he served as Co-CEO Deutsche Numis and Head of Global Private Growth Capital.
