ON THE MOVE: Dane Fannin Expands His Role at Northern Trust; Ana Pierro to DTCC

Dane Fannin

Dane Fannin will lead Northern Trust’s growing Global Foreign Exchange business, expanding his Securities Finance role. As global head of Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) and Securities Finance, Fannin, who joined Northern Trust in 2006, will be responsible for the continued technology innovation and business growth across the suite of GFX and Securities Finance solutions. He reports to Guy Gibson, executive vice president and global head of Capital Markets, Banking & Treasury Services.

Ana Pierro will be starting a new position at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) as Business Compliance Associate Director, effective September 5. She is an experienced Compliance Manager with 20 years of regulatory compliance and risk management experience. Pierro joins DTCC from Oportun, where she was Regulatory Paralegal. Prior to that she was VP, Central Regulatory Monitoring Management at JP Morgan Chase & Co.

Emma Taylor

Barclays has appointed Emma Taylor as Global Head of Internet Coverage and Carmen Chan as a Managing Director of Internet Coverage within the Technology Investment Banking business. Taylor joins Barclays with close to 20 years of experience in Technology Banking, most recently as a Managing Director on the Internet Investment Banking team at Goldman Sachs. Chan joins Barclays from Noom where she was VP, Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations. 

Horizon Investments, a provider of goals-based investment management, has hired Devansh Patel as Head of Corporate Strategy and Philip McDonald as Head of Custom Portfolios. Patel joins Horizon from Ziegler Capital Management, LLC, where he was a Board Member and Senior Managing Director, Head of Strategy & M&A. McDonald joins Horizon from Symmetry Partners, where he held a number of senior roles over the past decade-plus, most recently as Managing Director & Portfolio Manager, President of Symmetry Panoramic Trust, and Member and Chair of the firm’s Investment Committee.

RiskOptics (formerly Reciprocity), a provider of governance, information security risk and compliance software solutions, has named Rob Ellis Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Ellis was one of RiskOptics’ first hires; he ran GTM strategy for seven years and served as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer since April 2022. He succeeds Michael Maggio, former CEO and Chief Product Officer.
