BNY has named Laide Majiyagbe as Global Head of Markets and a member of BNY’s Executive Committee. She currently serves as Global Head of Liquidity, Financing and Collateral. In her new role, Majiyagbe will oversee BNY’s Execution Services, Liquidity, Financing and Global Collateral businesses. She replaces Adam Vos, currently Global Head of Markets, who will become Global Head of Wealth Solutions. In addition, Jim Crowley, currently Global Head of BNY Pershing, will become Executive Vice Chair.
Northern Trust has named Katie Pries as Country Executive for Northern Trust Asset Servicing in Canada, based in Toronto. Pries will oversee the growth and management of Northern Trust’s business in Canada, including relationships with clients, prospects, and regulators. She will serve on the Canadian Management Committee, continue as a member of the Canadian Board, and report to Asset Servicing leadership. According to a press statement, Pries previously served as president and CEO of Northern Trust Canada from March 2020 to May 2025 before moving to a global corporate role leading financial crimes strategy and delivery for Northern Trust, responsibilities which she will continue to oversee in her new role. She succeeds Jeff Alexander, who has left Northern Trust to pursue other opportunities.
Chris Pielock, formerly a Director of Sales TS Imagine, has been promoted to Head of Sales in North America. This appointment comes as TS Imagine expands its sales team in the US and EMEA. In the US, Nolan Roethler is joining from Professional Services and Account Management (PSAM), adding capacity to sales coverage in the Northeast, and reporting to Pielock. Meanwhile, in EMEA, Leon Kist-Chancelier and Will McKenzie will also move from PSAM to sales, continuing to be based in London and report to Chris Hollands.
TMX Group announced the appointment of Chuck Frederick to President. Frederick reports to Luc Fortin, President & CEO, TMX Global Markets and Post Trade, TMX Group. Frederick replaces Heidi Fischer, who has been managing director and president of US equity trading since 2023. Frederick has been an integral architect of the AlphaX US launch since he joined in February 2024.
Northern Trust Asset Management has appointed Gijsbert de Lange as chief innovation strategist, according to a press announcement. De Lange joined Northern Trust Asset Management in 2025 as an investment solutions expert in the quantitative strategies team. Previously, he was head of APG Asset Management’s quantitative equities team, leading the development of innovative quant alpha investment strategies across developed and emerging markets, leveraging AI technologies. De Lange has more than 30 years of financial markets experience spanning derivatives trading, quantitative investment and risk management at Willis Towers Watson and ABN AMRO Bank.
Cboe Global Markets announced planned appointments of Scott Johnston as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Heidi Fischer as Executive Vice President, Global Head of Equities and Spot Markets. Johnston will take over chief operating duties from Chris Isaacson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, who is retiring from his role effective March 6, 2026. Fischer will assume oversight of Cboe’s global cash equities and spot markets, which Isaacson also oversaw. Isaacson will continue to serve as an advisor to Cboe through the end of 2026 to help ensure a seamless transition. Alex Dalley, Cboe’s Head of European Equities, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and will oversee Cboe’s European Equities business, subject to regulatory approval. Natan Tiefenbrun, President, Europe and Global Head of Cash Equities, will depart the company to pursue new opportunities.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has announced Tyler S. Badgley has been named the agency’s General Counsel. According to a press release, Badgley comes to the CFTC from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he served as the Deputy General Counsel and, previously, Executive Secretary. Prior to his time at Treasury, he was Senior Counsel at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Litigation Center, focusing on complex litigation and regulatory issues, particularly in connection with capital markets. In addition, Alex Titus was named as Chief Advisor to the Chairman. Titus joins the CFTC after serving as Chief of Staff at the White House Council of Economic Advisers under Chairman Stephen Miran and Acting Chairman Pierre Yared.
MarketAxess Holdings has elected Douglas Cifu and Kenneth Schiciano to serve on the Company’s Board of Directors, effective March 1, 2026, according to a press statement. Cifu is the co‑founder of Virtu Financial, a global financial technology firm and market maker. He served as President from the company’s founding in 2008 until 2013, and then as Chief Executive Officer from 2013 through July 2025. Schiciano has served as a Senior Advisor at TA Associates, a leading global private equity firm, since July 2022, where he focuses on investments in infrastructure, software and financial technology companies.
