ON THE MOVE: BNY Mellon CEO Thomas Gibbons to Retire; Broadway Adds Lyuba Golberg

Thomas P. (Todd) Gibbons

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BNY Mellon has announced that Thomas P. (Todd) Gibbons has decided to retire as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors on August 31, 2022, after a distinguished 36-year career with the company. The Board of Directors has appointed Robin Vince to be his successor at that time. Vince will initially serve as President and CEO-elect, effective immediately, working closely with Gibbons to ensure a seamless and orderly transition of responsibilities. Vince currently serves as Vice Chair of BNY Mellon and CEO of Global Market Infrastructure, which includes BNY Mellon’s Pershing, Treasury Services, and Clearance and Collateral Management lines of business as well as Markets & Execution Services.

Lyuba Golberg

Broadway Technology has appointed Lyuba Golberg as Chief People Officer and has promoted Shawn Stern to Chief of Staff. Golberg will lead a multifaceted human resources department focused on the global workforce that powers Broadway’s fixed income offerings. She joins Broadway from TS Imagine (a combination of Trading Screen and Imagine Software) where she was Chief People Officer and TradingScreen Board Director since 2016. Stern has served as Head of People since January 2020 and is an 11-year-veteran of Broadway. As Chief of Staff, he will work closely with Broadway CEO Michael Chin to focus on helping Broadway expand its global teams, enhance its culture and shepherd special projects. In addition, Stern will also oversee the company ESG framework as Broadway focuses on environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives that impact its customers and employees.

Fabrice Astrologi

Horizon Software, a global vendor in Market Making and Algo Trading Technology, has added Fabrice Astrologi as Global Head of Client Management. With 25 years of experience, Astrologi most recently, held the position of Global Head of Professional Services at Broadridge.

Eventus Systems has appointed Josh Bosquez to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He has 24 years of software engineering experience, including more than 20 years in leadership roles in technology innovation, cloud-native platforms, cybersecurity and compliance. For the past three years, Bosquez served as Chief Technology Officer at Armor Cloud Security, responsible for the firm’s engineering, product, security and compliance organizations for the Software-as-a-Service cybersecurity offering.

Bridge Alternative Investment Solutions has made five senior appointments to scale with client demands. Shane Bates and Nick Gilliam join as Partners, coming from leading global fund administrators, Apex Group, and SS&C Technologies, respectively. Adam Whitmore, formerly of State Street Corporation, joins as Chief Financial Officer, and expands the Group’s footprint to Atlanta, Georgia. Seth Ferguson and David Haire join as Directors, from regional public accounting firms and real estate ventures.

Emles Advisors, an asset manager dedicated to identifying and developing unique, differentiated investment strategies for retail investors, has hired Morgan Gaynor as Marketing Manager. Prior to joining Emles, Gaynor was Director of Communications at WBI Investments. 

MetaVerse Green Exchange has appointed Eddie Hui as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He joins MVGX’s executive team, alongside Executive Chairman Dr. Bo Bai in defining the direction of the business. With over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, he has worked for leading global investment bank, Société Générale for most of his career.
