ON THE MOVE: BlackRock Names Paul Battams; Albert P. Meo to Prometheum

Paul Battams

Paul Battams has been named head of international equity trading at BlackRock, following 23 years with the firm according to an announcement on social media. He was most recently head of EMEA equity trading, overseeing a team of 14 traders covering the scope of equities and equity derivatives execution for the entirety of BlackRock’s investment teams. Prior to joining Barclays as equity derivative trader in 2009, Battams was an equity trader at Barclays Global Investors for 11 years.

Apollo Global Management has hired Chris McIntyre as Partner, Global Head of the Institutional Client Group and member of the firm’s Leadership Team, effective April 15, 2024. Based in New York, he will be responsible for managing the firm’s institutional distribution channel. McIntyre previously served as Partner and Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he led the firm’s Asset Management business in North America.

Albert P. Meo

Prometheum has appointed of Albert P. Meo as Chief Financial Officer. Meo is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience overseeing corporate controllership functions for broker-dealers, will play a critical role in guiding Prometheum’s financial strategies as it expands its services. With a career spanning over three decades at premier financial institutions including Goldman Sachs, Nomura, and most recently Morgan Stanley, Meo brings a wealth of expertise to Prometheum. Previously serving as Executive Director of Regulatory Policy at Morgan Stanley & Co., LLC., he was responsible for overseeing the firm’s policy function for various SEC and CFTC registrants.

Broadridge Financial Solutions has appointed Freddie Chiong as Head of Americas, Product, Broadridge Trading and Connectivity Solutions (BTCS). In this newly established role within Broadridge’s Trading and Connectivity division, Chiong will be responsible for leading the continued expansion of Broadridge’s Order Management System (OMS) for the US Market. Prior to joining Broadridge, he spent nearly two decades at Fidessa, where he led business development and drove various go-to-market strategies. 

Niall Cameron

Finastra has appointed Mike Stawchansky to the role of Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Innovation Officer. He joins Finastra from Collibra, a privately held data intelligence platform, where he was SVP of Platform and Production Engineering. His career spans more than 25 years and also includes senior roles at Salesforce and WebMD.
