ON THE MOVE: AllianceBernstein Names Erin Bigley; Nila Das to Proof Trading

Erin Bigley

Erin Bigley has been named as Chief Responsibility Officer of AllianceBernstein (AB), based in New York City. Bigley brings distinct insight and substantial experience to the role, having spent more than 20 years at AB, most recently as the Head of Fixed Income Responsible Investing and having served as a founding member of the firm’s Responsible Investment Steering Committee. In addition to her role as Chief Responsibility Officer, Bigley has joined the firm’s Operating Committee. She is also the co-chair of the firm’s Women’s Leadership Council, a council committed to convening senior leaders to cultivate an inclusive and diverse environment for women to build and broaden leadership roles at AB. Bigley replaces Michelle Dunstan, who has departed the firm to pursue an external opportunity. 

Nila Das

Proof Trading, an institutional equities execution platform, has hired Nila Das as Chief Operating Officer. Das worked the past 13 years as a bond trader, including her nine-year tenure at Citigroup, where she ran various books of mortgage-backed securities. Previously, she traded at RBC Capital Markets for four years. She is active with women’s initiatives in finance, and most recently was the Chair of Women in Trading at Citigroup. 

Jon Patullo

Jon Patullo will join Apex Fintech Solutions as Chief Product Officer of Advisory, in the fourth quarter 2022. In his new role, he will lead the technology product strategy for Apex Advisor Solutions, the advisory channel of Apex Fintech Solutions. He is based in Dallas, TX and will collaborate with Olivia Eisinger, General Manager of Advisory Solutions. Patullo brings over 26 years of experience in advisory and financial technology to Apex, most recently serving as the Managing Director of Digital Trading and Wealth Management for Charles Schwab Corporation and Managing Director of Technology Platform Management at TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation. 

State Street Corporation has appointed Yvette Hollingsworth Clark as executive vice president and global chief compliance officer. Hollingsworth Clark, who will report to Brad Hu, executive vice president and global head of risk for State Street, will also be accountable to the Examining and Audit Committee of State Street’s Board of Directors. Hollingsworth Clark brings a strong background of compliance leadership experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, she served as the head of compliance for Google in their Consumer Trust business. 

Sterling Trading Tech has added industry veteran W. Brennan Carley to its board of directors. Carley will provide strategic counsel to Sterling’s newly appointed President & CEO, Jennifer Nayar, and the executive team. Carley, who joined the Board as an independent member effective September 1, brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial markets, with a focus on trading and financial technology businesses. He has held C-level strategy and business development roles at Refinitiv, Instinet and NYFIX, as well as board positions at fintech companies including Yipes and Marketcetera.

Ed Fandrey has joined BNY Mellon as Head of Global Client Management. Based in New York, he reports to Akash Shah, BNY Mellon’s Chief Growth Officer. During his two decades at Microsoft, most recently as Vice President of Financial Services, Fandrey was responsible for helping large institutional clients to digitally transform their operating models around the world.

TORA, a provider of multi-asset order and execution management system (OEMS) and portfolio management system (PMS), has hired Alex Findlay as Director of sales located in New York. Findlay has more than 15 years of experience in financial products and sales. Before joining TORA, he worked as a sales and relationship manager for State Street’s FX Connect product first in London and then in New York. 

The Board of Governors of the Investment Company Institute (ICI) has announced that Yie-Hsin Hung, President and Chief Executive Officer-designate of State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), has been re-elected to serve as ICI Chair. In addition, the ICI member companies re-elected George C. W. Gatch, Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, as Vice Chair.  

Digital asset custodian, Standard Custody & Trust, a subsidiary of PolySign, has appointed Matthew Homer to its board of directors. Homer was the inaugural Executive Deputy Superintendent for the Research and Innovation Division at the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), where his responsibilities included cryptocurrency and digital assets. He is now a full-time investor and advisor to companies operating in the cryptocurrency and digital asset space.
