The Security Traders Association of New York is holding a half-day, interactive career transition seminar to help those looking to find a new job or enter a new profession altogether.
The STANY career seminar will consist of three sessions covering resume planning and work skills, networking strategies and new roles or industries in a difficult job market. It will also include hands-on exercises and open discussions to generate ideas and get participants working toward their goals. Attendees should emerge from the seminar with a structured plan and specific skills to help them apply the techniques they’ve learned.
Laura Smith Dunaief, a principal of LASD Resource Development, will lead the seminar. At LASD, she provides individual career coaching as well as corporate training and development programs.
The seminar will take place from noon to 6:15 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the OTCQX Market Center, at 304 Hudson Street, 3rd floor, in New York City. Interested parties must register by Oct. 23, as space is limited.
STANY members pay $50 to attend. Lapsed STANY members pay $75, and non-members $100.
