Traders is proud to present photos from the STA WIF luncheon event. Former CFTC Commissioner Jill Sommers delivered the keynote address and took questions from the audience of more than 50 attendees.

The STA recently announced the formation of the STA Women in Finance (WIF) Committee, set to launch at the beginning of December 2015.

Given the STAs unique makeup of industry practitioners, the STA WIF committee is positioned to gather women from diverse business models to identify issues of most relevance and deliver expertise through the committees subject matter experts to the financial services industry, according to the STA WIF website.

The STA WIF describes the mission to develop the growing role of women in the financial services community. The Securities Traders Association of Women in Finance supports and co-markets with other affiliate womens organizations within the finance community. Together we create a stronger presence, promote membership amongst all organizations, and establish a platform for women in finance. We are leveraging the established network, resources, and values of the Securities Traders Association to foster and create a culture of inclusion for women in finance.
