There are two significant hires in the world of trading this morning. The first is Shaun McIver, the new Chief Client Officer for Equity Capital Markets with the TMX Group.
Toronto-based TMX Group, which operates the Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange and many other cash and derivative markets and clearinghouses, created the position for McIver to work on sales and relationship management for TMXs capital formulation and equities trading business.
McIvers most recent position was as global head of the Digital Media Solutions business at Nasdaq Inc. He has also held sales leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and Teleglobe, Inc.
Separately, VEST Financial, which provides services for the investment advisor and brokerage community, has hired Steve Neamtz to the role of Senior Managing Director.
In this position, Neamtz will be working on expanding the protective options strategies through offerings such as closed-end funds, mutual funds and unit investment trusts. Neamtz previously served as Head of Distribution at NATIXIS, AIG SunAmerica, and Virtus.
