ON THE MOVE: BlackRock Adds Jackie Krese; James Pearson to LCH

LCH, a global clearing house, has appointed James Pearson as Head of ForexClear, effective June 1, 2021. Based in London, Pearson will be responsible for LCH’s FX derivatives clearing service, reporting to Isabelle Girolami, CEO, LCH. He has over 20 years’ experience of working in FX. Previous roles include Global Head of FX Trading at RBS, where he was responsible for the trading risk, daily management and strategic direction of the FX business. 

BlackRock has named Jackie Krese as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Capital Markets, according to Pensions & Investments. Krese reports to Global Head of BlackRock Capital Markets Brent Patry. She will lead U.S. efforts to expand and enhance client activities, ESG, fundraising, liquid syndicate, and private sourcing within the capital markets group. Kresse joins BlackRock from Credit Suisse where she served as Managing Director in the Capital Markets & Advisory (CM&A) division and Group Head of Americas Debt Capital Markets Solutions.

James Dalton has joined financial markets data science firm, FairXchange as Strategic Advisor to assist with the firm’s strategy, product development and the growth of its global client base of banks, hedge funds and FX brokers. Dalton’s 30 year career in financial markets includes Head of FICC Digital at National Australia Bank, Head of FX Algorithmic Execution at Citi, and Client Technology Solutions at State Street.

Guy Melamed has joined a marketplace technology firm, Exberry as CEO to accelerate its growth as it enters new marketplaces around the world.

Faryar Shirzad, former Goldman Sachs Global Co-Head of Government Affairs and former White House Deputy National Security Advisor, has joined Coinbase as Chief Policy Officer. Faryar will engage with lawmakers, regulators and other policy experts to realize crypto’s full potential to fuel a more equitable financial system along with job creation, GDP growth, and innovation.

Chris Bujakowski has joined AccessFintech as Chief Financial Officer. Bujakowski complements recent senior additions to the executive management team in Business Development and Sales. In the CFO role, he will lead the AccessFintech global finance organization with responsibility for all aspects of financial strategy, management and reporting including investor relations and treasury.

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) has announced that Refinitiv’s Founder and CEO, David Craig will leave the Group at the end of 2021. He will operate in an advisory capacity to the Group until the end of 2021. Andrea Remyn Stone will become Group Head, Data & Analytics, effective July 1, 2021.

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has appointed Derville Rowland, Director General (Financial Conduct) of the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), as the new chair of its Investment Management Standing Committee (IMSC). Rowland replaces Gabriela Figueiredo Dias, Chair of the Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM) of Portugal, as chair of the standing committee, and will begin her term on July 1, 2021. The term is for two years.
