MarketFactory, which develops software that helps traders aggregate currency prices and manage risks from buying and selling on multiple venues, hired Steve Toland as vice president of sales.
Toland, a 24 year market veteran, previously ran the currency-focused LMAX Exchange. Before that he worked at ICAP Plcs EBS foreign-exchange platform and Thomson Reuters Corp. He started his career in 1990 at British telecom.
MarketFactorys products are designed to help manage the resulting risks, and Toland will pitch the service to the New York-based companys clients.
