Deutsche Bank Appoints Kim Hammonds as Chief Information Officer

The former Boeing, Dell and Ford Motor exec will also be DB's global co-head of group technology & operations.

Deutsche Bank announced today the appointment of Kim Hammonds as chief information officer and global co-head of group technology & operations (GTO).

Hammonds is taking the role currently occupied by Anthony McCarthy, who has decided to leave Deutsche Bank to pursue other career opportunities. Although he will step down on Friday, November 15, he has agreed to be available for a transitional period to advise the bank.

Hammonds joins on November 25 from Boeing, where she was Chief Information Officer.

According to a prss statement, Computerworld names Hammonds as a Top 100 Premier IT leader in 2012 and the previous year she received an Information Week 500 top manufacturing innovator award. She has worked at Dell and Ford Motor Company. Hammonds has an MBA from Western Michigan University and a BSc in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan.

Hammonds will report to Henry Ritchotte and work alongside Jim Turley, who remains Global Co-Head of GTO. She will be based in London.
