CBOE Futures Exchange Adds Connectivity with Stellar Trading Systems

Overseas traders are gaining more access to products, including the "Fear Index."

CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE) now has greater reach to traders in Europe and Asia. The Chicago exchange has added Stellar Trading Systems as an approved independent software vendor and this gives traders access to more products including the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), which is known as the “Fear Index.”

As interest in CFEs extended trading hours initiative continues to build, we are seeing a growing number of market participants from outside the U.S. VIX futures around the clock, said Andy Lowenthal, senior vice-president, Business Development with CBOE.

He added, Our connectivity with the Stellar trading community will help enable CFE to expand its reach in these regions and provide even more traders around the world greater efficiency to trade and hedge with CFEs products, including our flagship product, VIX futures.

Stellar Trading Systems makes products for high frequency, high volume traders specifically within comprehensive order and risk management. It brings to CFE products such as its Quantum Server algorithmic engine, spreadMachine and ultra-low latency ASP and API proudcts.
