TD Asset Management Enters Canadas ETF Space

The investment bank marked its entry into to the lucrative exchange traded fund space at the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Executives from TD Asset Management opened trading of its new exchange traded fund business at the Toronto Stock Exchange. Last week, TDAMs six new passive ETFs began trading on TSX, including products designed to track the performance of Canadian fixed income markets as well as Canadian, U.S. and international equities.

To celebrate the listing on TSX, Tim Wiggan, CEO, TDAM, joined Thadaney to open trading this morning.

As of February 29, 2016, there were 384 ETFs and exchange traded notes listed on TSX with a combined market capitalization of over $98 billion.
