On The Move: McCarthy to Head Nasdaq ETP Listing and Services

The former Citi ETF veteran will guide issuers through the listing and trading of exchange traded products.

Jeff McCarthy has been named vice president, head of ETP Listings & Services at Nasdaq. McCarthy hails from Citigroups Investor Services & Markets group, where he was responsible for Global ETF & North America Fund Services. Prior to his tenure at Citigroup, he served as the Global ETF Product Head and Global Sales & Relationship Manager at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.

At his new role inside Nasdaq, McCarthy will be responsible for all aspects of Nasdaqs U.S. ETF Marketplace. According to Nasdaq, we will guide issuers through the development, listing, and trading processes. He will also manage the workflows required to list a new ETP (exchange traded product) on The Nasdaq Stock Market, including all aspects of product pricing, packaging, sales and marketing efforts.

McCarthy will work alongside the market makers Index Licensing and U.S. Equity Transactions teams, and will report to Brian Hyndman, senior vice president, Nasdaq Global Information Services.

We are confident that Jeffs extensive ETF background – coupled with more than 16 years of experience building relationships in the ETP space – will make him a tremendous asset to Nasdaq and our many ETP sponsors and issuers, said Hyndman in a press statement.
