On The Move: Daspin Joins Apex Clearing

The Triad Securities veteran will serve as head of sales and relationship management. Plus, Soc Gen starts a new Culture & Conduct Officer role and fills it.

Scott Daspin has left Triad Securities to serves as head of sales and relationship management for Apex Clearing. In his new role, he will oversee Prime Brokerage Sales and Institutional Correspondent Clearing. He will serve as a Robo-Advisor — FinTech Sales for the private self-clearing brokerage.

The Head of Sales & Relationship Management is responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy for the Apex sales team and establishing the overall strategic direction of the account management team. Daspinwas brought in to grow assets in three product areas: Prime Brokerage division, Correspondent Clearing, and Robo-Advisor Clearing.

Daspin will report to Peter Lawler.Daspin started the new role last April.

A long time veteran of Convergex, Daspin served as director of prime brokerage sales for Triad Securities for a year starting in April of 2015. Before that, he served as a managing director of Convergex for more than 12 years. He served as vice president in Merrill Lynch from 1995 to 1999.

Daspin is a graduate of Boston University.

In further Traders On the Move news, future traders looking to work may have to meet with Societe Generale has named Nancy Harrington Jones as chief culture & conduct Officer for the Americas starting May 3, 2016.

In this new position, Harrington Jones will manage the implementation of the banks regional Culture & Conduct program and will report directly to Societe Generales CEO for the Americas, Slawomir Krupa.

Harrington Jones was previously Chief Human Resources Officer for the Americas, a position she held since 2007.

John Fitzgerald has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer for the Americas and will report to the CEO for the Americas.
