Wall Street Horizon Expands Corporate Events Research Dataset

Traders who use corporate events as part of their data analysis to trade are about to get access to even more information.

Wall Street Horizon, a provider of single-stock event research data for institutional investors and traders, has expanded its international dataset to include more than 20 corporate event calendar types and an average daily coverage of more than 18,400 international events.

Now the company’s international earnings and event calendar averages over 18,400 tradable corporate events per day, which represents a 25 percent increase in coverage, across approximately 6,000 companies and 91 countries. This calendar includes over 20 corporate event types, for example: final, interim, quarterly and special dividends, earnings conference calls, analyst meetings and press conferences.

“Institutional traders are starved for more international data – and they need to be armed with every facet of corporate event information whether it’s Banco Santander’s AGM/EGM/Shareholder’s meeting or Panasonic’s press conference,” said Bruce Fador, president and chief commercial officer at WSH. “Recent independent academic studies that used our data have shown that changes in corporate events can affect market volatility therefore it’s critical to expand our reach to include a more comprehensive global dataset.”

WSH’s international dataset augments the U.S. and Canada earnings and event calendar.
