On The Move: Former SAC Staffer De Caumont Rumored To Join Point72

The London-based asset manager, which oversees the wealth of the troubled SAC Capital Advisors, is ramping up its staff.

A former staffer from the London office of SAC Capital Advisors may join Point 72 Asset management, which manages the wealth of former US hedge fund manager and present prop trading manager Steven A. Cohen, according to media reports.

Based on news reports, former SAC employee Stanislas de Caumont may join Point72 as SAC boosts its presence in the London.

The de Caumont rumors are another piece of the most recent hiring news for the London-based asset manager. As Bloomberg reports, Point72 also hired Atallah Estephan, an analyst from Moore Europe Capital Management, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private. De Caumont, who worked for Cohens formerhedge funduntil he joined Balyasny Asset Management in 2013, declined to comment. Estephan, who also worked at SAC before it was shut down, didnt immediately reply to an e-mail seeking comment.

Bloomberg adds that Point72 also hired former SAC money manager Israa Al Bayaa for energy, utilities and renewable resources investments. The buyside firm manages $11 billion and started trading from its London offices earlier this week.
