‘Wall Street Women’ Event Postponed

The gala set for “Wall Street Women: A Celebration of Excellence’’ on Wednesday, Nov. 7, will be rescheduled.

The event, honoring the achievements of women in securities trading, was set to start at 6 p.m. in the Waldorf Astorica Hotel, in midtown Manhattan.

But a second major storm in two weeks is scheduled to arrive in New York that evening. The new storm may only be half as powerful as Hurricane Sandy that swept in October 29. But the financial district of New York, Staten Island, Long Island, large portions of New Jersey and parts of Connecticut are still recovering.

SourceMedia, which owns and operates Traders Magazine, will provide information on the new date for the event as soon as possible.

The program recognizes leaders that demonstrate how guide the securities trading industry to greater prosperity.

Individuals were nominated in eight categories. Candidates were recommended by their peers in the trading community who submitted information on a variety of criteria, including responsibilities, financial results and organizational success, on each nominee.

This year’s award-winners were selected from a field of more than 70 nominees by an independent advisory board comprised of seven established, female leaders from the industry.
