UBS Appoints Leone and Chada as Americas Equities Co-Heads

UBS has filled the slots at the top of its U.S. equities business. Again.

According to a widely seen internal memo distributed by global co-heads of equities Roger Naylor and Robert Karofsky, the broker named Chris Leone and Dushyant Chadha as the new Americas co-heads of equities, effective immediately.

Leone and Chadha replace Paul Galietto. The duo also will join the firm’s global equities executive committee and chair the Americas equities executive committee.

The two report to both Karofsky and Naylor, global co-heads of equities.

Leone, who has been with UBS since 2008, also retains his current role as head of equities trading and risk for the Americas and reports to Val Mihan, global head of equities trading. Before UBS, Leone worked in the asset management industry. He also was head of derivatives trading for the Americas at Deutsche Bank.

Dushyant has been with UBS since 2013. Like Leone, he will retain his existing position as head of derivatives for the Americas and report to Shane Edwards, head of global equity derivatives. He too came from Deutsche Bank, serving as head of equity derivatives for the Americas and head of Americas trading risk. Before that, he spent 10 years at Citi.
