TRADERS ON THE MOVE: Mizuho Hires U.S. Equity Head, DAW Hires Head, DASH Gets CCO

Mizuho Securities has hired Eric Shenker as its head of U.S. equity trading. Shenker was most recently head of equities and head of equity trading at broker-dealer CRT Capital Group, and previously worked as head of Americas equity trading at AllianceBernstein as well as on the equity trading desks at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley.

Deutsche Wealth Management hired Nick Angilletta to lead its Wealth Management Capital Markets business. In this new role, Angilletta is responsible for managing the trading activities of Deutsche AWM’s Wealth Management Capital Markets business in the Americas. Angilletta is a 25-year veteran in the financial services industry, focusing his entire career in the wealth management capital markets space at Morgan Stanley, most recently, as a Managing Director and the Director of Capital Markets and Consulting Group Sales Strategy. Previously, he held various positions at the firm including Head of Sales for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Global Investment Solutions and Asset Management Business and Head of Smith Barney’s Private Client Sales and Trading desks.

Based in New York, Angilletta reports directly to Yves Dermaux, the Head of the Solutions & Trading Group for Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, and regionally to Jerry Miller, Head of Deutsche AWM in the Americas.

DASH Financial appointed Erin Preston as its new chief compliance officer. Preston will be responsible for DASH’s compliance strategy and will be a key stakeholder in the execution of the firm’s business strategy as In-House Counsel. Prior to joining DASH, she served as the director of compliance for Verition Fund Management LLC, a multi-strategy hedge fund based in Greenwich, Connecticut where she was responsible for the fund’s day-to-day compliance and legal needs. Prior to that she spent 6 years at Interactive Brokers LLC, where she focused on the design and implementation of compliance procedures for the retail brokerage and market making divisions.

BOX, a provider of cloud based services, has hired Nasdaq alum Adam Ross to lead a team in the cloud software company’s new Manhattan office, due to open in October. Ross most recently the vice president of global corporate solutions at Nasdaq, to spearhead that strategy. Before that, Ross was responsible for growing Bloomberg Financial’s software business from zero to 85 accounts.

Sujal Bharucha has joined Williams Capital Group as an institutional equity sales trader. Bharucha, a 22 year veteran, came from Evercore ISI for the last 5 years as an institutional equity sales trader and managing director. He reports to Steve Carl.

Market wunderkind AJ Herold has joined Imagineer Technology Group. Imagineer is a vendor to the hedge fund community.
