TRADERS ON THE MOVE: Malin Back at Nasdaq

Robert Malin rejoined Nasdaq OMX Group as assistant vice president of its newly formed Nasdaq Private Market, a joint venture with Sharespost. Plus, moves that matter at CRT Capital, Instinet and elsewhere.

Robert Malin rejoined Nasdaq OMX Group as assistant vice president of its newly formed Nasdaq Private Market, a joint venture with private capital marketplace operator Sharespost. In his new role, Malin will work with private companies, investors and brokers to grow the market for private share trading. Malin was previously at Liquidnet for five years. Prior to this, he spent the last five and a half years at Liquidnet, leading the development of the Equity Capital Markets platform after initially working in the Corporate Strategy Group. Prior to that, he was with Nasdaq between 2003 and 2007, according to regulatory filings.

William Peloso joined Capital One Southcoast in New Orleans as a sector trader. Peloso was most recently a sales representative at independent research shop Signal Investment Research in New York. Before that he spent a number of years at Prudential Securities as a trader.

Eric Shenker joined CRT Capital as head of equity trading. Shenker was most recently with AllianceBernstein. Shenker also spent five years at Deutsche Bank Securities and five years at Morgan Stanley & Co.

Glenn Lesko was promoted to global head of client strategy and U.S. international and product sales at Instinet in New York. Lesko was previously chief executive of Instinet’s Asia business.

Doug Kris joined Euro Pacific Capital in New York as a sales trader. Kris was previously a sales trader with BMO Capital Markets and its predecessor Nesbitt Burns for 16 years.
