TRADERS ON THE MOVE: BCS Hires New Derivatives Head, KeyBanc Adds Sales Trading Head

BCS Financial Group, operator of Russian broker-dealer BCS has hired Matthieu Ressencourt as a managing director and head of equity derivatives trading in London. Ressencourt, a 10-year pro, comes from VTB Capital where he headed up the equity volatility trading until March 2014. He also helped VTB start up its equity volatility trading team in 2008 and develop both the institutional client business and options market making activity on LSE Derivatives, Eurex and the Moscow Derivatives Exchange. Prior to that, he worked as an equity derivatives trader at Lehman Brothers. Matthieu began his career with Credit Agricole where he worked in both New York and Paris as an equity derivatives trader. He reports to Joseph Dayan, managing director of BCS Financial Group in London.

Chicago-based Allston Holdings, parent of proprietary electronic trading firm Allston Trading, appointed Jill Sommers, former Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, to its board of managers. Sommers served as Commissioner of the CFTC from August 2007 until July 2013. At the CFTC, Sommers served as Chairman and Designated Federal Official of the Commission’s Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC.) Prior to CFTC, Sommers was the policy director and head of government affairs for the International Swaps and Derivatives Association. She began her career in 1991 as a Washington-based intern for U.S. Senator Robert J. Dole (R-KS).

KeyBanc Capital Markets hired Jeff Woodford as head of sales trading in New York. Woodford, a pro with over 20 years experience, has experience as both a position trader and sales trader. He comes from Janney Montgomery Scott where he was most recently its head of sales trading. Prior to that, he was head of U.S. sales trading at Citigroup. He reports to Kevin Kruszenski, head of equities.

AxiomSL, a provider of regulatory reporting and risk management solutions, hired Louis Matrone as executive vice president of North American sales. Matrone, an industry vet with more than 20 years experience, will preside over all North American sales responsibilities. He came from Oracle, where he served as senior director of sales for financial services GBU. He also held senior level positions in the trading world including serving as an institutional sales trader at JonesTrading and director of trading operations at Rushmore Investments Advisors where he oversaw all securities trading. Matrone is also an active member in the Security Traders Association. He also previously served as Vice Chairman of STA & President of the Dallas Security Traders Association. He reports to Alex Tsigutkin, chief executive of AxiomSL.

Imagine Software, a provider of real-time portfolio and risk management solutions, hired Brendan Quinn as its director of sales. Based in New York, Quinn will oversee Sales for Imagine’s New York, London, Hong Kong and Sydney offices. Prior, he was head of North American fixed income sales for Thomson Reuters, where he spent 12 years. Before that, he was institutional sales director for Capital Access International.
