Spanish B-D Auriga Expands Sales Trading Roster

Auriga USA, a broker-dealer affiliate of Spain’s Auriga Global Investors, Sociedad de Valores, has been building out its sales trading effort over the last year.

Ladi Adebonojo, with more than 20 years’ experience, joined in September. He was previously with Capstone Investments. Prior to Capstone, Adebonojo worked at Wedbush Securities, Siebert Capital Markets and First Albany Corp. Chris Beyer, with more than 25 years’ experience, joined Auriga in August to run its institutional trading effort, after two years at Collins Stewart in New York, where he covered mainly health-care accounts. He’s held senior trading and sales trading roles at Cowen & Co. and Natixis Bleichroeder.

Reynolds Ospina, a 17-year veteran, joins as a managing director from WJB Capital. Ospina was hired to develop a West Coast presence. Richard Striefler, with more than 25 years’ experience, joined Auriga USA as a sales trader in November. Prior to Auriga, Striefler was at managing director at UBS in charge of the small-cap trading. Prior to UBS, Striefler was in charge of institutional trading at Schwab Capital Markets. Earlier, he ran Cowen & Co.’s Nasdaq trading. Patrick Kilcooley, with more than 15 years’ experience, also joins. He is a longtime trader with stints at Charles Schwab Capital Markets, DLJ, Lehman Brothers, Van der Moolen and Hapoalim. Henry Kim joined Auriga in 2010 after nine years at Thomas Weisel Partners, covering European institutions investing in the U.S.
