West Coast traders recently had a chance to get together and discuss the state of the equities industry at the year’s half-way point.
Institutional investors, sales traders and vendors all met up at the 83rd annual San Francisco Security Traders Association’s annual meeting held June 6 – 9 in Monterey. The event was highlighted by a pre-conference discussion in San Franscisco titled, “Fakes, Frauds and Failing Businesses & Supply and Demand of Stocks and Money.”
The meetup featured two panels: One a buyside trader Q&A on its relationship with the sellside and the second was focused on high-speeed trading in today’s market environment, Also, attendees could participate in either a charity gold tournament or 5K run.
Between 200 to 300 hundred people attended the event.
