BNY Mellon has appointed Roman Regelman to a new role as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Digital. In this position, Regelman will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the firms digital future and investing in client and internal digital capabilities, including data management, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics. He will build a new global team across the company, developing and attracting top digital talent. He brings over 25 years of experience in digital, operations and management consulting and launched several fintechs. Most recently, he was a Partner and Managing Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he co-led their Financial Institutions Digital business. Regelman will report to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Charles W. Scharf, and will join the firms Executive Committee, BNY Mellons senior-most governing body.

Hehmeyer Trading + Investments landed Roxanne Bennett for its Hehmeyer Capital Management group as a Managing Director. Bennett will work closely with Hehmeyer’s current trading managers, identify new talent for Hehmeyer’s managed futures platform, maintain investor relations, and help drive the evolution of the Hehmeyer Investment Platform. She has over 25 years of managed futures experience and, most recently, she was a MD with Price Asset Management, a registered commodity trading advisor and commodity pool operator. Bennett also spent over a decade at ABN Amro building managed futures portfolios and principally guaranteed products.

NN Investment Partners appointed Maarten Geerdink as Head of European Equities and Lead Portfolio Manager of its systematically-driven European Equity strategies. Geerdink will lead NN IPs European Equity team, which includes eight portfolio managers and nine fundamental analysts and data scientists, with a focus on driving further improvements and innovation. In addition, he will be the Lead Portfolio Manager on several more systematically-driven European and Euro Equity portfolios. Geerdink joins from Econopolis in Belgium, where he was partner and Chief Investment Officer. He has nearly 20 years experience in the asset management industry and has previously also worked as Senior Portfolio Manager at Petercam (currently DegroofPetercam); Portfolio Manager Quantitative Equity Strategies at Brevan Howard Asset Management and Shell Asset Management Company.
King & Spalding has landed Amy Peters as a partner in the firms Corporate, Finance and Investments practice group in the Chicago office. Peters will focus on representing credit funds, banks, investors and borrowers in a variety of leveraged finance transactions, as well as recapitalizations, workouts and restructurings.She joins the firm from Kirkland & Ellis.
Adaptive, a software consultancy specialising in real-time trading systems, has selected senior investment banking and legal non-exec directors to sit on its board. Matteo Cassina, Yann LHuillier and Janhavi Dadarkar will provide Adaptive with expert guidance on their wide-ranging speciality fields, including sales, marketing, technology and corporate governance.
Matteo Cassina has been involved in the financial industry for over two decades. After working at a number of big banks including BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch, he served as President of Citadel Securities Europe and member of the global executive committee of Saxo Bank.
Joining Cassina on the board is the Group CIO of interdealer broker Tradition – Yann L’Huillier. His extensive technology expertise will support Adaptives internal strategy to commoditise and licence its technology to clients. He will also be assisting in helping sharpen Adaptives technology architecture and the go to market strategy.

ING has appointed Sachin Shah as Director in the DCM SSA (Sovereign, Supranational and Agency) Origination team, based in London. Shah will focus on the Agency and Supra issuers to strengthen the banks presence in the sector. He will assume the role of Head of Agency and Supranationals, reporting to Corrado Cogliati, Global Head of SSA DCM Origination. Prior to joining ING UK, Sachin spent seven years at Rabobank. Before that he worked in the SSA DCM team at Dresdner Kleinwort for over five years.

Japanese investment bank Nomura has hired forex sales veteran Ian Daniels to join its e-FX sales team in London, according to a report from FX Week posted. According to his LinkedIn profile, Daniels has more than a decade worth of experience in forex sales, beginning at NatWest Markets, the investment banking arm of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. He spent his whole career working for the Royal Bank of Scotland. In April 2012, he was promoted to a director level in the electronic forex sales team. Then in March 2016, Daniels was again promoted to the head of the e-FX team for EMEA. He held this position until June 2018.
