>>Dave Frisone joined Aqua Securities in New York as a senior vice president and head of sales. Frisone, who spent 18 years at Bloomberg, was most recently head of tier one account sales at Bloomberg LP on the OMS side. Most of his career has been spent at Bloomberg Tradebook, where he helped build the company’s electronic brokerage business.

Frisone was head of the electronic sales trading desk for the Americas at Bloomberg Tradebook after running North American brokerage sales there. At Aqua, he will report to the company’s chief executive officer, Kevin Foley.


>>Henry Yegerman joins Markit as a director in market analytics and research in New York. Yegerman, with more than 25 years of industry experience, will be involved in the company’s trade-cost analysis products. He previously spent 12 years with ITG, where he was managing director of analytical products and creator of its TCA products. Earlier in his career, he was a director of product management at Reuters after spending nine years at Morgan Stanley working on index-based products for portfolio analysis and risk management.


>>David Collett was named chief operating officer and partner at UAT, a technology firm that specializes in the sub-advised industry. Collett, with more than 25 years’ experience on the buyside and sellside, oversees all of UAT’s day-to-day operational, administrative and financial activities. Prior to UAT, he worked at Signature Group Holdings, where he was treasurer and senior vice president of finance. He reports to chief executive Allan Chiulli.


>>Philip Adesso joins Nasdaq OMX to lead product strategy and management of event driven analytics. Adesso, a veteran with more than 10 years’ experience, spent the last year at Thomson Reuters and, prior to that, four years at Dow Jones working on their machine-readable news offerings. He reports to Jeff Kimsey.


>>Rosenblatt Securities has hired a four-person sales, trading and strategy team for options, led by Gary Wishnow.

A 12-year veteran, Wishnow was most recently head of options sales and trading at FBN Securities. Before that, he was vice president of institutional sales and trading at Louis Capital Markets. Wishnow will now be managing director for derivatives sales and trading at Rosenblatt, where he will report to president and chief operating officer Joe Gawronski.

Reporting to Wishnow are Steven Williams from Ramius Capital, Fabian Amezaga from Citi and trading clerk Matthew Stoeber from FBN. Williams has been in the industry for more than 16 years, and he will now be chief derivatives and ETP strategist for Rosenblatt. Amezaga, a 12-year veteran, will be vice president for derivatives sales and trading.


>>ESN has hired two professionals. First, Douglas Bennett joins in New York as vice president, international equity sales. Bennett, a 17-year pro, will focus on German equities. He previously worked at Societe Generale in New York and Zurich, where he sold European equities. David Benichou also comes on board as a senior vice president in international equity sales. Benichou, a 16-year pro, will market equities research to North American institutions. He spent the last 10 years at Oddo Securities marketing European research. Both report to Vincent Fourneau.


>>MacroRisk Analytics hires two former Nomura sales traders for its equity derivatives desk: Brian Bier and Drew Forman. Bier, a veteran with more than 11 years of experience, will head the sales and execution team, overseeing the firm’s strategists in options analytics. While at Nomura, he was head of listed equity derivative trading. He has also held senior trading roles at Banc of America Securities and Lehman Brothers. He reports to chief executive Dean Curnutt.

Joining Bier is sales trader Forman. Forman, an eight-year trading veteran, has experience executing equity derivatives transactions in the listed and over-the-counter options market. He was a senior equity derivatives trader at Nomura Securities, where he worked alongside Biers to facilitate option trades on behalf of clients. He also did a stint at J.P. Morgan, where he was an equity derivatives trader focusing on the technology sector.


>>Raymond De Stefano joins Needham & Co. as a trader and principal on the equity derivatives desk in New York. Prior to joining Needham, De Stefano spent the past 12 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the majority of which was in the equity derivatives’ space. He rose to vice president covering institutional accounts as a sales trader. Needham has had an equity derivatives desk for two years.


>>Jim Cochrane joins Investment Technology Group hires as its new director of analytics and product manager for its trade-cost analysis product for foreign exchange. Cochrane, an 18-year pro, has experience in both foreign exchange and emerging markets local currency sales, trading and analysis. At ITG, his focus will be on how clients can improve their international investment process, reduce their costs and improve returns. He was previously with Thomson Reuters for three years. He reports to Kevin O’Connor, managing director of ITG Analytics.


>>Albert Maasland joins Knight Capital as senior managing director and head of the international business. He is based in London and sits on the firm’s executive committee. Maasland is responsible for expanding Knight’s equities, foreign exchange and fixed income operations in the U.K., Europe and Asia. A 25-year veteran, he comes from Saxo Capital Markets, where he was chairman and head of Europe, Middle East and Americas. He reports to chief executive Tom Joyce.


>>Michael Drennan joins interdealer broker ICAP as head of its North America futures and options group, which is based in Chicago. Drennan, a veteran of more than 20 years, was previously with now-defunct MF Global, where he was head of sales for Asia. He also worked at Standard Chartered in Asia as global head of hedge fund sales. He is also an alum of Citigroup and Bank of America. He reports to Gary Pettit, global head of financial futures and options.


 

 

>>Citadel Securities hires Anthony Huck as a managing director in its Citadel Automated Trading Services group. Huck, an 18-year veteran, focuses on sales of the firm’s suite of algorithms and access to its dark pool, Apogee. Prior to this, he was head of equity execution services for the Americas at RBS Securities, and responsible for global portfolio trading and electronic trading. Before that, he was with ITG for 15 years, responsible for algorithmic and portfolio trading, transition services, international sales and derivatives. Prior to that, he ran the domestic and international customer program trading desk in the equity derivatives group at Nomura. He reports to Tom Trivella.


 

 

>>Thomas DeFazio joins E*Trade Capital Markets as a senior institutional sales manager. DeFazio, a 25-year veteran, was previously a sales manager at CR Brokerage, the broker-dealer subsidiary of Charles River Development. Prior to that, he spent four years at Aqua Securities selling its U.S. equity crossing system, as well as its non-U.S. equity direct-market-access services.
