Investment Technology Group reported lower share volume for July and during the first seven months of the year as compared to the same period in 2012.
For the month of July, the mid-sized broker-dealer traded 3.4 billion shares, or 155 million shares per day, on average.
In July 2012, ITG traded 3.5 billion shares, or 166.7 million shares per day, on average.
For the first seven months of the year, ITG traded 26.4 billion shares, or 181 million shares per day, on average.
During the same period last year, the broker traded 26.8 billion shares, or 183.6 million shares per day, on average.
The data is in line with the broader U.S. market in which share volume was also lower in July and the first seven months of the year.
