ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, the worlds largest interdealer broker, is pleased to announce that its 25thannual global Charity Day will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. On this day, 100% of ICAPs revenues and commissions generated globally will be donated to more than 100 charities worldwide.
Thanks to the efforts of ICAPs staff, customers and suppliers, Charity Day has raised nearly $178 million for more than 2,200 charities worldwide since it was launched in December 1993. In 2016 alone, nearly $10.3 million was raised by ICAPs 60 plus global offices for over 200 charitable projects.
This year, Charity Day will again be raising funds for 100 charities globally; of which roughly half are based in the U.S. It is the first Charity Day since ICAP became part of the TP ICAP group on December 30, 2016.
On the day, ICAP employees on the trading floor will be joined by a group of celebrities who will speak directly to ICAPs U.S. customers on the phone, boosting trading volumes in the process.
This year, over a dozen guests will be attending Charity Day in support of the 25thanniversary of this fundraiser including Sugar Ray Leonard, Walt Clyde Frazier and Wendy Williams. Other celebrity patrons taking part in ICAP offices across the world include Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cornwall, in London.
The full list of attending celebrities for 2017 will be revealed on Charity Day. In previous years, Seth Rogan, Blake Lively, Naomi Campbell, Tom Hardy, Prince Harry, Olivia Culpo, Pedro Martinez, Rachel Dratch, and Peyton Manning were just a few of the many notable guests to have lent their support to ICAP and its charitable partners in the U.S.
