Former House of Representatives majority leader Eric Cantor (R- Va.) has joined investment banking firm Moelis & Co. as a vice-chairman and board member, as first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
Cantor has long been seen as a liaison of sorts between the GOP and Wall Street, which also has been a big campaign contributor, the Journal added.
He was elected to Congress in 2000 after spending nine years in the Virginia House of Delegates.
