FIX Launches New Website and New Name

FIX Protocol announced it has created a new website where users can meet to discuss common issue. It has also rebranded itself.

FIX Protocol is now FIX Trading Community. The company intends to become a destination for traders and technologists, not just a trading technology firm. The new website was designed to enhance the online experience as well as bring together senior business and technical professionals from across the buy- and sell-side. These include vendors, trading venues and regulators, offering all a public forum.

The website is designed for collaboration and interaction between the organization’s member firms.

How?

It offers content-sharing features to members in the form of blog posts, white papers, articles, press releases. It also provides bookmark content and comments from other websites.

The firm said in a press release that it remained committed to the FIX Protocol. The Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol is an electronic communications language. It was initiated in 1992 for international real-time exchange of information related to the securities transactions and markets.

FIX Trading Community has some 275 members. They are on six continents and in multiple industry sectors.
